Parents Information

We believe parents are the one who best know their child’s routine, personality and unique comfort level. We strive to maintain a constant dialogue and close relationship with a child’s family. In fact, our goal is to partner with families supporting the child’s total development.

Our Session Timings are:

Full Day Session: 8:00am – 6:00pm

Half-Day Session: 8:00am – 1:00pm or 1:00pm – 6:00pm

Early Bird sessions from 7:30am – 8:00am and Late Sessions from 6:00pm to 6:30pm are also available.

Settling In

At Little Tulips Day Nursery, we attach huge importance to settling your child in our nursery. Our settling in sessions are provided after your registration with us. These are crucial times when your child’s relationship with their key person begins to develop. Our staff will work with you to build an overview of your child’s care, needs and interests which will form the basis of their learning journey with us.

This is also an opportunity to discuss permissions forms and medical or dietary needs.

Funded Childcare

We offer Government-funded Early Education places in line with current UK Government and Local Authority guidelines.

Eligible children can access:

• 15 & 30 Hours funded childcare

• Under 2s Funding

• 2 Year Old Funding

• 3 & 4 Year Old funding

We also accept Tax Free Childcare and Childcare vouchers from all the major providers.

Fully Funded sessions are available all year round (through the 51 weeks we are open) from:

Monday to Friday 9.30am – 3pm

(4 sessions a week – 22 Funded Hours per week throughout the year)

Hourly charges for:

Meals/Snacks/Drinks: £1.50

Consumables-Nappies/Sun Cream/Etc: £0.20

Activities and Materials for Activities: £0.20

Parents as Partners

At little Tulips Day Nursery, we hold regular meetings for catch up and at the end of the day our key person provides verbal or written feedback for the day.

We encourage our parents to meet with their children’s key person on request, please ask our manager to arrange this. This is a wonderful opportunity to look at your child’s learning journey, discuss progress, interest at home, targets and have a look around your child’s room displays and activities.

We can be very flexible and arrange to meet with you at convenient times, please do ask – we love these catch-up’s as much as parents do!
